A section of the Edensmuir Forest in Central Fife, North Annsmuir Wood is located to the east of the A92 Trunk Road a mile (1.7 km) north of Ladybank. Planted in 1952-56 as commercial timber, it consists of a mixture of Scots pine with Corsican pine. There is a defensive pill-box in the northwest corner of the wood, which dates from the Second World War. North Annsmuir Wood is separated from South Annsmuir Wood by the Ladybank Golf Course.
