Barmore Hill

A modest summit in The Machars of Galloway, Barmore Hill rises to 111m (364 feet) immediately to the north of the A75 Trunk Road and 2¾ miles (4.5 km) west of Kirkcowan. Barmore Hill is part of an extensive drumlin field, all aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier.
