An elongated hill in The Machars of Galloway, Near Barbunny rises to 109m (357 feet) to the south of the A75 Trunk Road, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) west of Kirkcowan. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow. Far Barbunny lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast.
