Barfad

A drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Barfad rises to 102m (334 feet) immediately to the south of the A75 Trunk Road, 4¼ miles (7.2 km) east northeast of Glenluce. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and is aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of the flow of the glacial ice. There is another summit called Barfad Hill 2 miles (3 km) to the north northwest.
