An elongated whaleback hill in The Machars of Galloway, Blairnagobber reaches a height of 113m (370 feet) between Knocklyoch and Knockbreck, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) west northwest of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and is aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow.
