A rather modest drumlin in a group of other more pronounced examples, the Black Hill of Barmore rises to just beyond 105m (344 feet) between Knocklyoch and Blairnagobber in The Machars of Galloway. Its principal axis is aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier. There are several other drumlins named Black Hill nearby.
