Barhapple Hill

An elongated whaleback, Barhapple Hill rises to 103m (337 feet) in The Machars of Galloway, 2 miles (3 km) west of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and is aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow. There is a small patch of coniferous woodland just to the south of the summit. There is another summit called Barhapple 2½ miles (4 km) west southwest.
