Haw Hill

An elongated whaleback on southern edge of the Galloway Hills in Dumfries and Galloway, Haw Hill rises to 107m (351 feet) 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Kirkcowan. This one of the most northerly of a number of drumlins in The Machars, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area.
