Corwar Hill

A little hillock on southern edge of the Galloway Hills in Dumfries and Galloway, Corwar Hill rises to 95m (311 feet) 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northwest of Kirkcowan. This one of the most northerly of a number of drumlins in The Machars, deposited by an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area. There are other summits named Corwar Hill nearby; 4½ miles (7 km) to the east and 12½ miles (20 km) to the southeast.
