A hillock in The Machars of Galloway, Doon Hill rises to just beyond 80m (262 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southwest of Shennanton House and 2 miles (3 km) north northeast of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field. Confusingly, there is another Doon Hill just 3½ miles (5.5 km) to the south southeast.
