Bank Hill

An oval summit in The Machars of Galloway, Bank Hill rises to 41m (134 feet) on the right bank of the River Bladnoch, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) west of the hamlet of Bladnoch. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow. There are five other drumlins named Bank Hill nearby, located 3¾ miles (6 km) to the east southeast, 6 miles (10 km) to the west northwest, 7½ miles (12 km) to the north, 8½ miles (14 km) to the northwest and 10½ miles (17 km) to the west northwest.
