Clover Hill

The southern summit of a sizeable drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Clover Hill rises to just beyond 75m (246 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest of Kirkinner. A secondary summit to the west reaches c.70m (229 feet) and is named Sheep Hill on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, while Orchard Hill to the north reaches a similar height. This is one of a number of drumlins in the area, aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow.
