A hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Culbratten Hill reaches a height of 64m (209 feet) 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Newton Stewart. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNW-SSE suggesting the direction of glacial flow.
