Coldside Hill

A drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Coldside Hill rises to 53m (173 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) south southwest of Newton Stewart. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and is aligned NNW-SSE suggesting the direction of flow of the ancient ice sheet that covered the area. Bishop Burn flows between this hill and another drumlin located immediately to the southwest, but unnamed on Ordnance Survey maps.
