Culquhirk Hill

An elongated hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Culquhirk Hill rises to just beyond 35m (114 feet), a half-mile (1 km) north northwest of Wigtown, beyond Kirkland Hill. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, deposited beneath an ancient glacier, with its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of ice flow.
