Fir Hill

A hogback on the right bank of the River Bladnoch in Dumfries and Galloway, Fir Hill rises to just beyond 35m (114 feet), opposite the village of Bladnoch. Unnamed on modern Ordnance Survey maps, this is part of an extensive drumlin field occupying much of The Machars and has its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier.
