Cupid Hill

An elongated summit in The Machars of Galloway, Cupid Hill rises to 51m (167 feet) a quarter-mile (0.4 km) west of the White Loch of Myrton and a similar distance northwest of Monreith House. This is an example of a drumlin, one of a number hereabouts and is aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of ice flow of an ancient glacier. A strip of forest runs across the summit of the hill.
