Linkhall Hill

A teardrop-shaped summit in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Linkhall Hill rises to 72m (236 feet) 2½ miles (4 km) east of Monreith and 2¾ miles (4.5 km) west northwest of Whithorn. This is a well-defined drumlin, one of many in this area deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet and aligned NE-SW indicating the direction of flow.
