Sour Hill

A whaleback in The Machars of Galloway, Sour Hill rises to just beyond 90m (295 feet) a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Castlewigg and 1¼ miles (2 km) north northwest of Whithorn. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NW-SE indicating the direction of glacial flow. There is another Sour Hill only 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the southeast.
