Kiln Hill

A hogback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Kiln Hill reaches a height of 38m (124 feet) a mile (1.7 km) east of Sorbie. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and, together with Mill Hill which is linked to the east southeast, are aligned WNW-ESE suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet. There are a number of other Kiln Hills in the vicinity, the nearest 7½ miles (12 km) to the northwest.
