Bardonachie

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Bardonachie rises to 120m (393 feet) overlooking the Tarf Water but surrounded by plantation forest, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southwest of Loch Ronald and 5 miles (8 km) west northwest of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier.
