Barwhil

A little whaleback in The Machars of Galloway, Barwhil rises within plantation forest to a height of 107m (351 feet) immediately to the north of the Tarf Water, a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Loch Ronald and 4 miles (6.5 km) west northwest of Kirkcowan. This is one of a number of drumlins hereabouts, aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow.
