Corwar Hill

A summit in The Machars of Galloway, Corwar Hill rises to 48m (157 feet) on the edge of plantation forest, 1½ miles (2.5 km) northeast of Sorbie and 2¼ miles (3.5 km) northwest of Garlieston. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned N-S suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet. There is another Corwar Hill 10 miles (16 km) to the north northwest.
