Bank Hill

A little drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Bank Hill rises to 28m (92 feet) overlooking the Baldoon Sands and Wigtown Bay, a half-mile (0.8 km) north of Ring Hill and a mile (1.5 km) east of Kirkinner. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet. There are five other summits with the name Bank Hill nearby, which are also all drumlins. These are located 3¾ miles (6 km) to the northwest, 10 miles (16 km) to the west northwest, a similar distance to the north northwest, 12 miles (19 km) to the northwest and 14 miles (22.5 km) to the west northwest.
