Barney Hill

A little hogback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Barney Hill rises to just above 50m (164 feet) between Drumlane Hill and Thorny Hill, a mile (1.8 km) east northeast of Torhousemuir. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area.
