Rolland Hill

A drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Rolland Hill rises to just above 35m (114 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) west northwest of Causeway End and 2½ miles (4 km) south of Newton Stewart. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, with its principal axis aligned NW-SE suggesting the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier. Bishop Burn passes the hill immediately to the northeast.
