A stream in the N of the Scottish Borders, Heckle Burn rises between Broad Law and Wull Muir on the boundary with Midlothian. It flows southeast to Carcant where it joins with the Tathieknowe Burn to form the Carcant Burn, a tributary of the Heriot Water. Heckle Burn is 1½ miles (2.5 km) in length.
