Bell's Moor Plantation

A mixed woodland in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Bell's Moor Plantation lies between Baryerrock and Drumjargon, on the southern approach to Barnbarroch, a half-mile (1 km) north of Whauphill. It was most likely panted in the early 19th C. by John Claudius Loudon (1783 - 1843) as part of his improvements to the landscape surrounding the fine house at Barnbarroch.
