Corwar Hill

A little hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Corwar Hill rises to 62m (203 feet) to the southwest of Drumterlie and 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Newton Stewart. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and has its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet. There are two other drumlins named Corwar Hill 4½ miles (7 km) to the west and 10 miles (16 km) to the south southeast.
