Drumanee

A little teardrop-shaped summit on the edge of plantation forest in The Machars of Galloway, Drumanee rises to just beyond 65m (213 feet) on the right bank of the Tarf Water, opposite Place Hill and a mile (1.8 km) southwest of Kirkcowan. This is a drumlin, one of a number hereabouts, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet. There is another loftier summit named Drumanee 13 miles (21 km) to the northwest.
