Far Hill

A little hillock of limited prominence in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Far Hill rises to just beyond 95m (311 feet) on Drumdow Moss a half-mile (0.8 km) west of Loch Wayoch and 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow in an ancient glacier.
