A stream which forms from the Auchenvey Burn in the Stewartry of Dumfries and Galloway, the Arvie Burn flows east for only a half-mile (1 km) before falling into Corsock Loch. Arvie Loch and a slightly larger artificial loch, unnamed on Ordnance Survey maps, lie on its course. There is another Arvie Burn 5½ miles (9 km) west southwest.
