Blairmoddie

A hillock in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Blairmoddie rises to 146m (479 feet) on the edge of the Galloway Forest, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) southwest of Tannylaggie Bridge and a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Polbae. This is a drumlin, one of several hereabouts, deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area. The Southern Upland Way passes along an unclassified road to the northeast.
