Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg

One of four peaks on a ridge known as the North Glen Shiel Range, Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg is located on the National Trust for Scotland property of Kintail Forest, on the border of Skye and Lochalsh districts of Highland Council. It has a level summit at a height of 1036m (3399 feet), whose ridge is approximately 500m (1640 feet) in length. The summit is found on a spur at the southeast end of the ridge. The name Sgurr a'Bhealaich Dheirg originates from Gaelic and means "peak of the red pass", which is appropriate considering beyond the summit there is a reddish coloured gully.
