Addiewell Railway Station

Addiewell Railway Station (referred to in Gaelic as Tobar Adaidh) lies on the Shotts Line in West Lothian, located a quarter-mile (0.4 km) southeast of the village of Addiewell and a similar distance southwest of HM Prison Addiewell. Opened in 1882, it is preceded by West Calder Railway Station, 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the east northeast, and followed by Breich, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) to the west southwest. Operated by ScotRail, Addiewell Station is unstaffed and is used by more than 25,000 passengers per annum (2009-10).
