One of six railway stations serving the industrial town of Coatbridge in North Lanarkshire, Blairhill (referred to as Cnoc a' Bhlàir in Gaelic) is located on the North Clyde Line, between the neighbourhoods of Gartsherrie and Blairhill.
This station opened on the Glasgow and Coatbridge Branch of the North British Railway in 1871 and was originally known as Drumpellier and Gartsherrie Station. The station was redeveloped in 2016-17 with £5 million funding from the Scottish Government to provide a new combined booking office and waiting room, and a fully-accessible footbridge. Now operated by ScotRail, Blairhill Railway Station is staffed part-time and is used by an estimated 482,954 passengers per annum (2017).
It is preceded by Coatbridge Sunnyside Railway Station, a half-mile (1 km) to the east, and followed by Easterhouse, 2½ miles (4 km) to the west.
