A suburban railway halt in Glasgow City Council Area, Drumchapel (known in Gaelic as Druim a Chaibeil) serves both the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line. It is situated on Garscadden Road in Old Drumchapel, a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Knightswood. Opened on the Glasgow, Dumbarton & Helensburgh Railway in 1890, this two-platform station is preceded by Westerton Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east, and followed by Drumry, a mile (1.5 km) to the west. Now operated by ScotRail, Drumchapel Railway Station is staffed part-time and is used by 360,184 passengers per annum (2016-17).
