Drumchapel Railway Station

A suburban railway halt in Glasgow City Council Area, Drumchapel (known in Gaelic as Druim a’ Chaibeil) serves both the Argyle Line and the North Clyde Line. It is situated on Garscadden Road in Old Drumchapel, a mile (1.5 km) northwest of Knightswood. Opened on the Glasgow, Dumbarton & Helensburgh Railway in 1890, this two-platform station is preceded by Westerton Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the east, and followed by Drumry, a mile (1.5 km) to the west. Now operated by ScotRail, Drumchapel Railway Station is staffed part-time and is used by 360,184 passengers per annum (2016-17).
