Stevenston Railway Station

Stevenston Railway Station (Gael: Baile Steaphain) is located on the Ayrshire Coast Line in North Ayrshire, a half-mile (0.8 km) south the town centre. This station opened in 1840 and formed part of the Ardrossan Railway. There are now two platforms serving a double-track line that was electrified in the 1980s. Operated by ScotRail, Stevenston is unstaffed and was used by 117,512 passengers per annum (2016-17). Between 1888 and the 1930s there was another station in the town called Stevenston Moorpark.

Stevenston Railway Station is preceded by Kilwinning, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) to the northeast and followed by Saltcoats, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the west.
