Clydeside Expressway

The A814 Clydeside Expressway bypasses the West End of Glasgow to provide a fast access route to the city centre. It opened in 1973 at a cost of £3.5 million and links the A739, on its approach to the Clyde Tunnel at the Whiteinch Interchange, with the M8 motorway at Anderston. It snakes its way along the north bank of the River Clyde, passing the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
