Gorebridge Railway Station

Gorebridge Railway Station lies on the Borders Railway and is located a quarter-mile (0.4 km) south of the centre of Gorebridge in Midlothian. Built by BAM Nuttall, it opened with the line in 2015 and comprises a solitary platform serving a single-track line. The first station here opened in 1847 but closed with the demise of the Waverley Line in 1969. Now operated by ScotRail, it was used by around 60,000 passengers in its first year, rising to 98,218 in 2016-17. The preceding station is Newtongrange, 2 miles (3 km) to the north northwest. Gorebridge is followed by Stow, 12½ miles (20 km) to the south southeast.
