A neighbourhood on the southern margin of Bonnyrigg in Midlothian, Burnbrae represents a private housing development located just within the Bonnyrigg Distributor Road, a half-mile (1 km) south of town centre. It represents what was previously the undeveloped section of Hopefield and takes its name from a property located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the east, on the opposite side of the Dalhousie Burn. It comprises a mix of detached, semi-detached, terraced and townhouses, together with flats, all built in the second decade of the 21st C. Burnbrae Primary opened here in 2012.
