A tolled road which extends for 6 miles / 10 km, connecting Stinchar Bridge in South Ayrshire with Loch Doon in East Ayrshire, the Carrick Forest Drive in open from May until October each year. One of the attractions of the Galloway Forest Park, the drive takes visitors through woodland and hills, with an adventure playground and picnic area beside picturesque Loch Riecawr. The drive is managed by Forestry and Land Scotland.
