Panmurefield

A residential development in the extreme E of Dundee City, Panmurefield lies between the Dichty Water to the southwest, the A92 road to the north and the boundary with Angus Council Area to the east. Developed on agricultural land c.2000-08, part of which formed the Panmure Bleachfield in the 19th C., the area is principally formed of large detached private houses with open plan front gardens. Balmossie Mill was also located here on the Dichty. Panmurefield Village to the west of the area provides services including shops, an hotel, bar-restaurant, nursery, care home and a Baptist Church. At the entrance to the Orchard bank development on Cairnwell Gardens is a public art installation, the Panmurefield stone carvings by David F. Wilson, which was completed in 2014.
