Rannoch Viaduct

The Rannoch Viaduct lies on the West Highland Railway Line and is some 208m (227 yards) long, second only in length to the better known Glenfinnan Viaduct on this line. Like the rest of this railway, it was built by Sir Robert McAlpine (1847 - 1934), known as 'Concrete Bob, who used the then-novel material concrete in its construction. This section of the line was opened in 1894.
