Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds

Located to the east of Hamilton (South Lanarkshire), close to Junction 6 of the M 74 motorway, are the Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds. These comprise a number of flood-lit grass and synthetic pitches for football, rugby and cricket, together with tennis courts and bowling greens. Part of a redevelopment initiative known as Hamilton Ahead, the facility opened in May 1999 and is run by South Lanarkshire Council. Adjacent is a retail complex and opposite a supermarket, which are part of the same initiative.

The Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds changing pavilion lies exactly on the site of the former Hamilton Palace.
