Luther Water, a troutful rivulet of Kincardineshire, rising at an altitude of 1300 feet among the frontier Grampians, and curving 13½ miles south-south-eastward and south-south-westward through Fordoun, Laurencekirk, and Marykirk parishes, till, after a total descent of 1205 feet, it falls into the North Esk at the boundary with Forfarshire, 1¾ mile WNW of Marykirk village.Ord.
