Dunfallandy, an estate, with a mansion, in Logierait parish, Perthshire, near the right bank of the Tummel, 1 ½ mile SSE of Pitlochry. Its owner, Miss Fergusson (suc. 1836), holds 842 acres in the shire, valued at £513 per annum. Of two stones here, one marks the scene of a dreadful murder and usurpation; the other, halfsunk in the ground, is carved with grotesque figures of animals, and was long regarded with much superstitious awe.
