Getting Started...
When you first open iScotland, the application establishes your device location. If running on an iPhone, the GPS location is used, if running on an iPod, then your location is determined using nearby WiFi hotspots.
When a location is established you can click the 'Find' button to locate nearby points of interest (a network connection is required to do this)...

Nearby points of interest are then displayed in Google Earth...

You can distinguish iScotland points of interest from other Google content with their Scottish flag. Click on a flag to find out more about a particular feature...

What's required to run iScotland?
- A network connection is used to query the encyclopaedia.
- Nearby places, and their descriptions, are displayed in Google Earth.
- This application works best when used in Scotland, otherwise nearby places will be returned along the nearest stretch of Scottish coastline.
