Parish of Terregles

Terregles is a small parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 12 miles (19 km) south of Thornhill and 13 miles (21 km) west of Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway.

It is located in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 15.6 sq. km (6 sq. miles). Terregles has 5 neighbouring parishes; namely Dumfries, Holywood, Kirkpatrick Irongray, Lochrutton and Troqueer.
