Parish of Annan Annan is a coastal parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 7 miles (12 km) west of Gretna Green and 9 miles (14 km) southeast of Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway.It is located in the old county of Dumfriesshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 44.1 sq. km (17 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Annan.
